Pinnacle Ships New StreamGenie

Pinnacle Systems (www.pinnaclesys.com) announced that it is shipping a new version of its StreamGenie portable live streaming system.

Among new features of StreamGenie are faster processing (with single and dual CPU configurations), support for Windows Media 7 codecs, MPEG-4 streaming, RealVideo 8.5, and better control of streaming controls and pre-processing filters.

"StreamGenie brings flexibility, power and the high quality of Windows Media Audio and Video to live events," said Jonathan Usher, group manager of the Digital Media Division at Microsoft Corp. "This tool is helping a wide array of customers meet the growing demand for high-quality digital media content."

Pinnacle said that existing customers can upgrade their software to version 1.2 at no additional charge via FTP.
