RadioWave to Create RollingStone.com Radio
RollingStone.com and RadioWave.com
have announced an agreement to create RollingStone.com Radio, with branded, interactive music channels, and an e-commerce revenue model. RadioWave.com will create over 20 online music channels for RollingStone.com.
The new channels will include music news, artist features and interviews, album reviews, and photo galleries. Each item will include a link to buy albums and merchandise, band biographyand discography, tour dates, and ticket opportunities. RollingStone.com Radio is expected to launch in late August.
"As one of the most popular music sites on the Web, RollingStone.com is a major addition to the RadioWave network of Web sites streaming customized audio and generating revenue with interactive advertisements," said Bill Pearson, CEO of RadioWave.com.
RollingStone.com joins RadioWave.com's network of music and radio customers, including EMI Recorded Music, Blue Note Records, the Susquehanna Radio Corp., and WBEB-FM of Philadelphia. RollingStone.com is a member of the Emusic network.
