RealNetworks Gives Content Programmers More Control

RealNetworks (http://www.realnetworks.com) unveiled tools for content providers to show off their content today.

It expanded its "Real.com Message Service", which notifies users about new programming and also started a second service, called Real.com Connection, to give content providers more control over how their content appears on the Real.com site.

RealPlayer users can sign up to receive daily messages from a select number of content providers directly that contain links to featured audio and video programming. RealNetworks content providers include: ABCNEWS.com, ARTISTdirect, Discovery.com, E! Online, GetMusic, LAUNCH.com and RollingStone.com.

Real.com Connection lets content providers offer headlines for their top audio and video programming each day, as well as a deeper, more thorough directory. So far, the service launched with Real.com's music and sports sections but will expand to other sections later.
