Roku Contest Celebrates 1 Million Customers
Roku sold its one-millionth set-top box a few months back, but It's just getting around to celebrating the milestone now. To mark the occasion, Roku has created a contest and an online mosaic.
Roku will be giving away over 50 prize packages every day from now until March 10. Prizes include a year of Crunchy Roll (an anime channel), a year of Hulu Plus, $25 credits to Amazon Video on Demand, or a year of Netflix. Win the grand prize and you'll get a 46-inch Insignia TV, a Roku XDS, and a year of broadband connectivity.
Roku fans can enter the contest by uploading an image for a photo mosaic being created on the site showing balloons and a Roku cake. Enter by posting on Twitter or Facebook, or by uploading an image directly. All images need to be approved before posting. The site accepts only one entry per person.
If fans add a mosaic image using Twitter or Facebook, they can use a Find Me tool on the mosaic to locate their image quickly. If not, they'll need to do some hunting.
Winners will be notified by e-mail. The grand prize drawing will take place on March 10 and announced shortly afterwards.
