S3 Group Intros Warning Center for Cloud-Based Video Monitoring

Article Featured Image

S3 Group, a Dublin, Ireland-based company that creates automated video service testing and validation tools for operators, introduces its latest addition today, StormTest Warning Center. A cloud-based video service monitoring and validation platform, Warning Center provides non-stop automated monitoring for performance and availability, and can work with on-demand services, linear TV services, set-top boxes, and more. A network operations team can create its own thresholds for alerts, check real-time analytics, and quickly diagnose and repair any problem.

Key features for Warning Center include the ability to monitor video application performance on a range of devices, the creation of rules-driven alerts, real-time analytics accessible through an online portal, and probes that offer round-the-clock performance monitoring for key network nodes.

Warning Center is the newest addition to StormTest portfolio, and works with StormTest Development Center (which validates services received by viewers) and StormTest Decision Line (which automates testing for customer-premises equipment). While Development Center tests services and equipment in labs prior to deployment, Warning Center tests live conditions.

Pre-launch, Irdeto used Warning Center to monitor World Cup streaming. The product is able to scale for a global viewership and offers strong security, says Rory O'Connor, Irdeto's vice president of managed services.

S3 Group will demonstrate the full Storm Test portfolio at IBC. Look for it in Hall 3, stand 3.B18.
