Scour Updates myCaster with “Infinite Stream Hosting”
Scour) has announced the release of version 2.0 of its myCaster personal broadcastingsoftware, including new stream-hosting technology.
Weighing in at less than 500K, myCaster 2.0 allows users to create and listen to their own Internet radio stations. MyCaster 2.0 adds "infinite stream hosting" capabilities, allowing DJs to reach an unlimited number of listeners by hosting their personal radio stations on a remote server. Users who upgrade to myCaster v2.0 are automatically equipped with the new infinite stream hosting feature.
"This new version puts users at the controls of the greatest online radio experience around," says Scour president Dan Rodrigues. "We've attracted thousands of Internet radio fans by providing them with a community where they can create their own stations and chat with other DJs and listeners."
Other features new to myCaster 2.0 include support for Winamp-compatible DSP audio plug-ins, the ability to broadcast images livefrom any Windows-compatible video camera, a new chat window, afive-band equalizer to adjust outgoing sound, a re-designed playlist window with faster drag-and-drop editing, and a DJ information panel.
