SoftwareWow Secures $22-Million in Funding
Streaming software company SoftwareWow.com (http://www.softwarewow.com) technology, today announced the completion of its $22-million second round of financing.
The additional capital comes from two new investors, Hikari Tsushin and Technology Link Capital, as well as from existing investors Prism Ventures Partners and Longworth Venture Partners.
SoftwareWow streams software, not audio and video. That means sites can let users run software over the Internet without having to download and install the entire software.
This allows for timed demos, software subscriptions, and pay-per-use services.
"The streaming software market has tremendous growth potential," said Masahide Saito, managing director of corporate strategy of Hikari Tsushin. "SoftwareWow's compelling `powered-by' business model will enable consumers across the globe to use the power of streaming technology to run software online."
