Speedera Adds Streaming Media Delivery

Speedera Networks (http://www.speedera.com) unveiled Speedera Streaming, its new streaming media service delivery service.

It offers content delivery and traffic management capabilities.

"Speedera Streaming dramatically increases performance and reduces delays, eliminating the poor image quality that end users have had to tolerate with traditional content delivery services," said Gordon Smith, vice president of marketing for Speedera.

Speedera Streaming has over 30 points of presence worldwide and pushes the media closer to the edge of customer end points.

Speedera Streaming can support many files including QuickTime, Windows Media, Real and MPEG.

Speedera Streaming is in beta testing now. The service will be fully available by the middle of July. Pricing is based on the quantity of content streamed from edge servers, with optional additional cost for edge storage.
