StreamAudio Powers Village Voice Radio
Streaming radio provider StreamAudio (www.streamaudio.com) announced that it is delivering an online radio station to The Village Voice, one of the nation's largest alternative weekly newspapers. Voice Radio will debut on April 11 at
www.villagevoice.com.
Some of the shows will include: "The Dean's List" a weekly music show by The Voice's Robert Christgau; "Sessions," a weekly concert series from the clubs in New York; "La Dolce Musto," a show by the infamous columnist Michael Musto; and "Acoustic Breakfast," a singer/songwriter series.
"The Village Voice newspaper has always made a virtue of beingprogressive. Voice Radio is in this tradition," says Operations DirectorSteve Martorano. "We're not going to sound like anyone else, anywhere."
StreamAudio is primarily a provider to terrestrial stations looking to go online, but also has some Internet-only stations. It will provide audio streaming and revenue-sharing ad insertion technology for The Village Voice. According to the company, StreamAudio provided over 4.1 million streaming user sessions in March 2001.

Voice Radio will be accessible through all of its newspaper sites and may eventually be syndicated nationally.
