SurferNETWORK.com Selected to Stream Nine NextMedia Stations

SurferNETWORK.com (www.surfernetwork.com) announced that it has gained a new customer, NextMedia, and will be streaming nine of NextMedia's stations. The first NextMedia station to go live with SurferNETWORK will be WJBR-FM, an adult contemporary station originating from Wilmington, DE, with an Arbitron-rated cume of 105,000.

"NextMedia is the most recent group to join the SurferNETWORK Alliance,'' said Gordon Bridge, chairman and CEO of SurferNETWORK. "These stations will help broaden our coverage as well as expand our listenership. As always, we plan to do a terrific job in bringing these stations online, with the goal of gaining approval to stream NextMedia's remaining 48 stations,'' said Bridge.

SurferNETWORK's technology enables on-air ads to be replaced with targeted online streaming ads coordinated with a banner-type ad. Many terrestrial broadcasters have removed their streams recently due to the AFTRA contract dispute, but technologies that replace on-air ads allow stations to keep streaming.
