Palo Alto, California-based Infrastructure software company TIBCO has chosen to work with ViVu for the next release of its Tibbr platform. ViVu provides videoconferencing solutions, and its technology will be used in Tibbr 3.0, which will include a new feature, TibCast, a social solution for videoconferencing, desktop sharing, and archiving.

"The combined ViVu and TIBCO solution uniquely brings robust HD-quality group and event-based videoconferencing and desktop sharing capabilities to market, which in turn makes it as intuitive as possible for users to immediately visually engage and collaborate -- from any location," says Sudha Valluru, founder and CEO at ViVu.

"Having our technology selected by TIBCO is a huge endorsement," adds Valluru. "With this offering, ViVu helps take enterprise social networking to the next level by enabling real-time video collaboration."

ViVu is a private company based in Cupertino, California, and was founded in 2008. It specializes in desktop videoconferencing and collaborative video webinar products. Its browser-based platform emphasizes ease-of-use and affordability.

"High quality HD videoconferencing and video events are fundamental to all future workplace communications," says Sriram Chakravarthy, director of Tibbr products and engineering at TIBCO. "Together with ViVu, the TibCast offering brings real-time videoconferencing and desktop collaboration to Tibbr customers to facilitate spontaneous visual collaboration among workers wherever they are."
