TVU Networks Unveils Social Media Solution for Reporters
TVU Networks, which creates portable cellular bonding products for reporters working in the field, has announced a platform that lets its customers easily share their work on social networks. Called TVU Social, it's integrated into the TVU software so that reporters don't need to switch apps to promote their work.
TVU Social connects with Facebook, Twitter, Weibo, and more, and works with the company's TVUPack backpack products. Reporters can post still images from their live video directly to their social networks.
For those working in the home office, TVU has also introduced Social Media Manager. With Social Media Manger, an editor can send out a flow of images from multiple TVUPack live streams, all managed from one computer screen.
“With TVU Social, field reporters no longer have to make hard decisions on whether to focus on their viewfinder or to engage in social media activities," says Paul Shen, CEO for TVU Networks. "For the first time, the reporter can post what they see in the viewfinder directly to social media sites with just the push of a button.”
News agencies that want a closer look should stop by booth SU3116 at next week's NAB conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company will also show enhancements to its TVU Anywhere, TVUPack Mini, TVUPack Mini SE, and TVU Grid products.
