Telestream to Launch Post Producer at IBC, Automates Tasks
Transcoding company Telestream announced that it will unveil an entirely new product at this year's International Broadcasters Convention (IBC): Post Producer. This is a post-production tool designed to automate repetitive processes, freeing NLE workstations and the people who run them from hours drudgery.
When directed by user-created templates, Post Producer can assemble a video segment, compositing the video, titles, graphics, and captions or subtitles. It can also perform audio processing. Users can create alternative versions of their videos by substituting elements in Post Producer. By offering that, Telestream hopes to simplify repetitive tasks involved in creating multiple versions of movies for different languages and platforms.
Post Producer will run on Telestream's Vantage 6, the latest version of the company's transcoding and workflow title, which will also be demonstrated at IBC. Going after the post production market, Vantage 6 will allow direct ingest of DPX sequence files and acquisition formats including Red RAW by adding Dolby 3 encoding. This version will also include 24 to 25 frames per second audio conversion, new analysis and quality control features, and greater integration with third-party titles.
IBC will take place September 12 through 17 in Amsterdam. Look for Telestream in stand 7.C12. While Post Producer is being launched at IBC, it will actually go on sale before that.
