UltraCo Releases UltraPlayer 2.0
Software maker UltraCo said today it released its newest version of its UltraPlayer (http://www.ultraplayer.com) media player. Version 2.0 now plays video, including AVI, MPEG and Windows Media.
"UltraPlayer is now ready to serve the growing population of users that have broadband Internet connections. Our goal was to give our users the ability to watch integrated video before Winamp or Sonique, and we did it," said Andy Fanton, President of UltraCo.
A decent goal, but Microsoft's own Windows Media Player 7 supports all kinds of audio and video, both downloadable and streaming. UltraPlayer 2.0 supports MIDI, MP3, WAV, CD Audio, AVI, MPG, Windows Media and has skins and visualization features.
UltraCo says they can brand the player for any company.
UltraPlayer 2.0 is available free for download at the company's web site.
