VideoShare Secures $15 Million in Financing

VideoShare (http://www.videoshare.com) today announced that the company has raised $15 million in venture capital financing. Chase Capital Partners and TechFarm/TechFund Capital co-led the second round of financing for VideoShare, which also included investments from Brand Equity Ventures, EMC Corporation, Five Paces Ventures, FleetBoston Financial, Latona Associates and Scripps Ventures.

The company intends to use the funding to expand their marketing, sales, and product development efforts. VideoShare recently announced deals with both Lycos and Microsoft Movie Maker. VideoShare intends to use these deals to propel its efforts to expand the use of video as a daily communication medium on the web.

VideoShare received its first round of funding in November of 1999 from Scripps Ventures and recently relocated its headquarters to the Watertown Arsenal area of Watertown, Mass.
