Virage and Screaming Media In Syndication Deal

Virage (http://www.virage.com) said today it is teaming with ScreamingMedia ( http://www.screamingmedia.com) in a syndication deal.

Virage will deliver streaming video to ScreamingMedia, which distributes news, feature and photo content from providers including the New York Times, Scripps Howard News Service and Salon.com.

Virage's customers includes the BBC, CSPAN, CBS, CNN, FOX Sports and PBS.

"More and more our clients are demanding fresh, subject-specific rich media to offer to their end-users. It makes the site experience richer and the site stickier," said Kevin Clark, CEO of ScreamingMedia.

Last week Virage had its IPO, which saw its stock price rise about 50% in its first day.
