Video services company Vubiquity announced the launch of AnyVu Cloud today, a platform that provides multiplatform video services and is intended to help customers get new offerings to market faster.

According to Darcy Antonellis, Vubiquity's CEO, AnyVu Cloud is built on the company's experience in licensing, managing, and delivering video. Service providers can use the new platform to quickly launch new offerings, and know that it will support new or emerging services as they're developed.

AnyVu Cloud comes with a library of licensed video-on-demand content as well as streams for on-demand and live linear video. Vubiquity says it was designed to manage growing video libraries and to support product testing.

The platform is intended to be the first component in a system that will include other modular services. The company plans to announce ecosystem partners in the coming months.

Vubiquity also announced a partnership with Akamai today where the two companies will provide content-as-a-service using both AnyVu Cloud and Akamai's Intelligent Platform. Together, they offer a content library as well as cloud preparation, management, and delivery.
