WireBreak.com Hires Two Executives for Creative Positions
Online entertainment network WireBreak.com (http://www.wirebreak.com) announced the appointments of Sherry Weinman, former CNN executive producer, as senior vice president, Development and Content; and Michael Berman, former producer of "The Tonight Show" Online, as WireBreak.com's head writer.
Weinman will oversee the development and production of WireBreak.com's programming. Berman will oversee all writing in both the interactive and video portions of WireBreak.com, as well as scripts in development.
"As we gear up to introduce some terrific programs to the site, we are thrilled to have secured Sherry and Michael to help drive the development of new and existing content," said David Wertheimer, chairman and chief executive officer of WireBreak.com.
Weinman has eight years of experience in broadcast news production and 17 years of information and entertainment programming for broadcast, cable and syndication. Previously she was executive producer of "The Entertainment Report" for CNN.
Berman has written professionally for more than 12 years, starting with National Lampoon magazine. Most recently, he was producer of Interactive Promotion for NBC Digital Productions. Previously, he was producer of "The Tonight Show" Online and "Friday Night Online".
The announcements of Weinman and Berman follow on the heels of the appointment of "Frasier" producer Jon Sherman as WireBreak.com's creative producer.
