Yack Acquires Channelseek

Streaming media portal competitors Yack.com http:www.yack.com announced today it was acquiring ChannelSeek http:www.channelseek.com in a stock deal. Exact terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The acquisition is expected to be completed within thirty days.

Channelseek founder and CEO Tom Britt will join Yack as its new Vice President of Business Development.

The acquisition combines two of the largest streaming media portal companies. Yack, which started out as a chat or talk listing site, later morphed into a streaming media portal. Channelseek's broadband portal has been around a long time and has recently published a short print guide as well.
