eVoice and RealNetworks Team Up to Answer the Phone

eVoice (http://www.evoice.com), a company that provides voicemail services, and RealNetworks ( http://www.real.com) have teamed up to provide one-click access to voicemail through RealPlayer 8. Providing that you are willing to listen to about 15 seconds of commercials each time you call, eVoice's services are free. eVoice will pick up your phone when you are on the internet, and messages can be retrived by phone, through their website and now through the RealPlayer.

This agreement allows users to access entertainment and voicemail all from one location, and saves the user the laborious task of actually having to type eVoice's web address to retrieve their mail. eVoice voicemail users can add an eVoice button to their RealPlayer8 by clicking "Check for update" in the Help menu.

eVoice is hoping to take advanatage of the large number of RealPlayer users. RealPlayer content was played by 27.1 million US home users during the month of July, according to Nielsen/NetRatings. eVoice's Web site was visited by 2.8 million unique visitors in the month of June, according to measurement company Media Metrix.
