iBEAM Releases TalkPoint

iBEAM Broadcasting Corp. (www.ibeam.com) has announced the full deployment of its newest technology, TalkPoint. iBEAM acquired TalkPoint from CCBN as part of a strategic partnership announced earlier this month.

TalkPoint technology is a web-based, self-publishing presentation tool that addresses the demands for low-cost easy-to-use, flexible presentation options for the financial and enterprise markets. Jim Denney, senior director of product marketing at iBEAM, adds that iBEAM's Activecast family of products already offers higher-end video and audio conferencing services.

TalkPoint presentations are list-priced at $4000 for a single presentation and can run as low as $1000 per presentation in group packages, according to Denney. The live presentations are limited to 300 virtual attendees at this time for technical reasons, but Denney added that this limit would soon be lifted.

TalkPoint presentations can also be made available on-demand. iBEAM states that the product has a proven track record with a significant number of CCBN's large client base, which has grown to rely on the technology for quarterly earnings conference calls, annual shareholder meetings and other investor related events.

Additional TalkPoint options include flexible registration features, the ability to collect detailed viewer information, and comprehensive reporting capabilities.

Denny states that iBEAM expects to derive two-thirds of its revenue this year from the enterprise and financial services webcasting market. iBEAM claims to own around 90 percent of the streaming financial services market.
