iMagicTV and Sun Deliver Broadband TV
Digital TV software provider iMagicTV (http://www.imagictv.com) has teamed with Sun Microsystems (
http://www.sun.com) to develop digital TV over broadband.
Sun and iMagicTV plan to join forces in key aspects of delivering interactive digital television solutions to service providers.
"Sun provides the robust, scalable platforms and open, standards-basedsoftware that are key to operating our end-to-end digital television software," said Marcel LeBrun, president and CEO of iMagicTV. "Service providers can deploy television services quickly and cost-effectively ultimately improving both their business case and the consumer experience."
iMagicTV is a new startup based in New Brunswick, Canada makes its DTV Manager software that helps customers deliver digital TV to consumers over their broadband networks.
