iMove Announces Partnership With GlobalCenter
iMove (http://www.imoveinc.com), a provider interactive video announced a partnership with GlobalCenter (
http://www.globalcenter.com), a Global Crossing company.
The company will also use Akamai's content delivery services to host and deliver its video content.
iMove's Multiview Interactive Video lets users deliver multiple camera views into a single video playback file, creating spherical video and adding user control of camera angles, viewing directions and zooming capability. It also allows the ability to link to embedded audio, text and website hotspots.
"As the usage of rich media on the Internet explodes," said Kermit Yensen, CEO of iMove, "our relationship with GlobalCenter, and use of Akamai's services, will offer content producers the reassurance that our video format can be effectively hosted and delivered to users around the world with improved reliability and performance."
GlobalCenter will offer Internet infrastructure services to host iMove's videos and deliver them over Akamai's distributed network of servers.
IMove is located in Portland, Oregon.
