Telestream Announces Dynamic Ad Insertion Solution for VOD
Getting a jump on NAB, Telestream announced a dynamic ad insertion (DAI) solution that's built on the transcoding company's Vantage platform. Called VOD Producer DAI, it creates compliant DAI assets for on-demand delivery, and also creates analytics to measure ad performance.
With DAI, publishers can create ad-insertion points in VOD content, then deliver targeted ads to each viewer, or update the ad points for a seasonal campaign. Telestream's solution outputs content that meets DAI requirements, contains Nielsen watermarking for audience metrics, and carries network branding. The platform is targeted at MVPDs and content owners of any size.
The platform works by automatically creating and delivering DAI-compliant VOD files. Users can set any requirements that are unique to a certain geography. Telestream promises a hands-free workflow that doesn't require a significant infrastructure investment.
“Telestream VOD Producer DAI enables advertising sales to present fresh, relevant, demographically targeted ads within on-demand content over existing cable infrastructure, significantly increasing revenue,” says Paul Turner, vice president of enterprise product management for Telestream.
“With VOD Producer DAI, we have developed a workflow automation platform that is unique and proven to achieve outstanding results in DAI applications of various size and scale,” adds Jim Duval, director of new products for Telestream.
Telestream will show VOD Producer DAI at the upcoming NAB conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
