Cleeng welcomes Han de Groot and Robert Wilhelm as new strategic advisors

Cleeng, a specialist in video e-commerce for leading sports and entertainment companies announced today the appointment of two new strategic advisors, Han de Groot and Robert Wilhelm, representing their fund VOC Capital Partners. Together, they will work along with Cleeng's management team and existing investor C4 Ventures to further accelerate the business growth and guide the company toward the next phase of development.

Han de Groot is VOC Capital Partners founding partner, focused on helping entrepreneurs with technological and market insight, organizational development and managing growth. In 1999 Han founded a consumer intelligence company MetrixLab and pioneered online survey research in Europe and the US. He led MetrixLab's business expansion into the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Singapore and China; he successfully executed 6 acquisitions in the Netherlands, France, UK and the US (MarketTools), and merged MetrixLab in 2014 with former Tokyo Stock Exchange listed MACROMILL, and became its CEO. The merger created the largest provider of online survey research in the world with 1500 employees in the Americas, Europe and Asia, and annual revenues in excess of $300 Million. In October 2015, 16 years after having founded MetrixLab, Han handed over his CEO position to his American successor Scott Ernst and became non-executive member of the Global Board of Directors.

Robert Wilhelm has over 25 years of experience in venture capital, mergers & acquisitions, business development and entrepreneurship. Currently he is a senior advisor to VOC Capital Partners and a partner at Solid Ventures. Prior to this he was partner at the growth capital firm Endeit Capital. He was the founding managing partner of NeSBIC CTe Fund, a value added venture capital group investing in early stage technology companies in Europe and USA, that he founded in 1997. He was previously a Senior Executive Mergers & Acquisitions of the pan European telecommunications joint venture Unisource NV for 4 years. Prior to Unisource, he had over 5 years of international venture capital experience at Atlas Venture in Amsterdam and Boston. He is an active and committed member of the board of several companies

The arrival of Han de Groot and Robert Wilhem comes along with a minority investment in Cleeng done by VOC Capital Partners, C4 Ventures and other existing investors.
