Lucent Digital Video Teams with VBrick Systems
Lucent Technologies (http://www.lucent.com/ldv) made a deal with VBrick Systems (
http://www.vbrick.com), a supplier ofvideo networking solutions, to enable Lucent Digital Video to provide its customers with MPEG videoconferencing and streaming video.
Under the terms of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement, VBrick's MPEG product line will be marketed under the Lucent VIDEORunner product family name. They will provide encoding and decoding solutions for broadband video applications.
The VIDEORunner product is a multifunction video appliance that delivers full screen MPEG video over a network and acts as an MPEG decoder that detects multi-cast streams.It also includes conference scheduling software, remote administrationtools, desktop video player and streaming server software.

"With thisagreement, we now can provide complete digital video solutions from HighDefinition Television, to interactive MPEG video conferencing, to high-qualityIP streaming video to the desktop."

The VIDEORunner line is available now, says Lucent.
