LOADtv Delivering Video to US West Customers
LOAD Media Network (http://www.loadtv.com), announced an agreement with US West to give its dial-up and DSL customers access to video content.
The programming will be shown through a co-branded version of the LOADtv player, from the U S WEST.net home page.
"LOADtv adds a brand new dimension to the Internet experience we're delivering to U S WEST.net customers," said Audrey Thompson, director of Internet Services, U S WEST.
LOADtv is using downloadble video rather than streaming. It downloads data in the background in a subscription-like format.
"LOADtv allows broadband customers to get more out of their high-speed connection," explained LOADtv president, Matt McFee. "Most broadband connections, although faster than a conventional dial-up, cannot deliver the experience that streaming promises.
LOADtv's content partners and sponsors include Nissan, Comedy Central, The New York Post's PageSix.com, GEAR Magazine and Detour Magazine.
