Real.com Games Site Growing

RealNetworks is delving deeper into the gaming field with the launch of an expanded Real.com Games site. The new site adds broadband downloadable games, expands its current selection of downloadable games, and adds over 30 online Web-based games.

Along with the launch come several new marketing and distribution agreements with game developers and publishers.

Real.com Games offers several new game titles, including the first stand-alone version of Half-Life Team Fortress from Valve Software, the world premier demo release of Sanity: Aiken's Artifact, from Fox Interactive, and Road Wage by Nonstop Entertainment.

"We are thrilled with the success of Real.com Games, which is proving to be a natural extension of the Real.com Network," said Mark Hall, vice president of media publishing at RealNetworks.

Through an agreement with Pogo.com, Real.com Games will also feature more than 30 Web-based games. The agreement also enables access to thousands of Internet music stations while playing any of a wide variety of free single-player or multiplayer games.

Other game developers and publishers who have just signed up to be a part of Real.com Games include Monolith Productions, BioAdaptive Systems, Brain Block Interactive, Fifth Dimension, and Midas Interactive.
