Brainshark Snares $14 Million

Brainshark (http://www.brainshark.com) announced Tuesday it had raised $14 million in a second round financing.

3i, an international venture capital company was the lead investor joining OneLiberty, SI Ventures, Citizens Capital, and Reach LLC.

The company says that it will use the money to expand its self-service web-based conferencing solutions.

Brainshark's customers include SilverStream Software Inc., Imperial Bank, Progress Software Corp., Productivity Point International, Inc., Experience, Inc., and Advanstar Communications, Inc.

"This latest financing enables Brainshark to accelerate our delivery of enterprise-level rich-media communication solutions that not only meet current demand, but also anticipate future market requirements based on current business use," he said.
