Anark Launches Media Authoring Environment
Anark Corporation (www.anark.com) announced the beta launch of its Anark Studio, a content authoring system that integrates 3D, 2D, video, audio and text into one stream.
The complete system comes in three parts: Anark Studio (content authoring), Anark Server (web-based streaming server) and Anark Client (browser-based player). The system handles multiple formats such as 3DS, AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-4, JPG, WAV and MP3.
"We've developed a content authoring solution that is unmatched in its ability to allow creative and technical freedom," said Stephen Collins, president and CEO of Anark. "Unlike previously available software tools, Anark Studio enables the creation of television-quality presentations that scale for both narrowband and broadband environments and can be delivered over the Web and other interactive media outlets."
Viewing files is handled by Anark Client, a free browser plug-in. Requirements for Anark Studio 1.0 will be Windows 98 SE or Windows 2000. Pricing has not yet been announced.
