Livestream Opens Online Store, Offers Live Event Equipment
The live video platform Livestream is helping would-be live streamers get started by opening an online store where they can find the hardware needed for broadcast.
The Livestream Store includes HD encoders (for converting video into a format compatible with the Livestream platform), production switchers (for mixing audio and video feeds, as well as adding graphics), cameras, capture cards, and audio equipment. Everything in the store has been tested with the Livestream Procaster.
Livestream Premium customers will get an extra benefit from the store: phone support to help them set up their purchases and get them running smoothly.
The store will ship to U.S. customers, while a network of suppliers, including B&H Photo and Video, will handle international orders.
"Customers were constantly asking for recommendations on which camera and encoding solutions they should purchase for their live streams," says Max Haot, CEO of Livestream. "We created Livestream Store to make it as easy as possible for producers to find and purchase the equipment needed to create and enable them to stream their events seamlessly at the highest quality possible."
The store also includes a simple illustrated guide for newcomers, explaining what they'll need for live streaming.
