José Alvear
Streaming Media Expert
José Alvear joined Streaming Media, Inc. as Senior Editor in May 2000. His relationship with the company dates to March 1999, when he began editing the Streaming Media Newsletter, the world's #1 e-mail newsletter focusing on the streaming media industry. Previously, he was a freelance writer contributing to various publications about the new media industry and a speaker at many computer and multimedia conferences. He is also the author of the first technical book on streaming called "Guide to Streaming Multimedia" published in 1998 by John Wiley.
