Dr. Yan Ye is currently a Director of Engineering at InterDigital Labs, where she leads the company’s video R&D efforts focused on global standards and in particular JCT-VC and JVET of ITU-T VCEG and ISO/IEC/MPEG.  She has been involved in the development of various video coding standards, including the HEVC standard series, the Key Technology Areas of ITU-T/VCEG, and the scalable extensions of H.264/AVC. She was an editor of the HEVC version 2 and HEVC version 3 Specifications. Yan received her Ph.D. from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at University of California, San Diego.
