Capture card

A capture card can be either analog or digital. One form of capture card converts analog signals in to YUV or RGB native color space so that the encoding algorithms can properly encode content for storage or streaming. Another type, such as an HDMI or SDI capture card, allows a digital signal in one packetized form to be trans-multiplexed (transmuxed) in to another packetized form for proper encoding.
