Digitize

Digitizing is the act of performing an analog-to-digital conversion via a capture card. Often the terms digitizing is used for non-linear editing systems, many of which batch capture multiple clips off a single video tape, but the term can also be used for transferring any tape (digital or analog) in to a computer for storage or further compression.
