MSO

Multiple System Operator, also referred to as a multi-system operator, is a designation often used for cable companies that offer services beyond television broadcast. Many MSOs offer a “triple play” of internet and telephone service alongside their traditional cable television offerings. The use of MSO is interchangeable between cable and telecommunications companies, however, as several telecoms have now moved to offer cable- or IPTV-based television programming along DSL copper or fiber optic connections.
