Accordent Joins Blue Coat Technology Integration Partner Program
Interoperability Enables Automated, Enterprise-Wide Video Delivery via Blue Coat ProxySG Appliances

Accordent Technologies today announced that it has joined the Blue Coat Systems Technology Integration Partner (TIP) program to provide an interoperable enterprise-wide video delivery solution. By combining the portal, video content management and rich media delivery capabilities of the award-winning Accordent Media Management System (AMMS) with Blue Coat ProxySG appliances, the interoperable solution automates and optimizes the delivery of video over the Wide Area Network (WAN).
Blue Coat ProxySG appliances utilize a combination of advanced caching and stream-splitting technologies to optimize the delivery of live, streaming and on-demand videos over the WAN. When the Blue Coat ProxySG WAN optimization solution is combined with the AMMS, organizations can create, secure and manage online video-based assets and efficiently deliver them to the desktop.
In addition, the partnership enables clients to use the AMMS Media Director as a single interface through which they can manage content and network resources. Via the AMMS Media Director console, clients can set Distribution Profiles to schedule, execute and route content.
The AMMS Distribution Profile also enables clients to intelligently manage the lifecycle of content on Blue Coat ProxySG appliances via a three-tier retention management system that sets rules for expiring content sequentially at the edge server cache, the published library (viewable in the AMMS portal) and the AMMS database.
