Audible Magic Provides Automatic Content Recognition to Intel Integrated Native Developer Experience

Audible Magic’s ACR Technology Included in Intel INDE Media Pack for Android

Barcelona, Spain(24 Feb 2014)

Audible Magic, the leader in automatic content recognition (ACR) solutions, announced that the Intel INDE (Integrated Native Developer Experience) Media Pack for Android, will use Audible Magic’s ACR software development kit to deliver new compelling rich multimedia experiences. Additionally, Audible Magic announced that it has been selected to the Intel Software Premier Elite Partner program.

Intel announced the upcoming availability of Intel INDE today at Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona. Designed to increase productivity throughout the development chain, Intel INDE provides a range of components that enable developers to create, compile, debug, analyze and ship apps on Android™ and Windows platforms.

The Intel INDE Media Pack for Android coupled with Audible Magic ACR technology empowers developers to write apps that can identify or synchronize with audio or video content. When software recognizes audio or video content either streamed to the Android device or picked up by the device’s microphone, the app can then trigger useful functions, such as presenting the user with additional information about the content that is playing or synchronizing app functions with media playing from a separate device.

At Mobile World Congress, Intel is showing a demo that features Audible Magic’s ACR running on a tablet app. By simply listening to ambient audio via the tablet microphone, the app synchronizes with a video stream showing on a nearby TV. When the TV video stream is paused, the tablet picks up the video stream where the TV left off.

"Our technology is already deployed across multiple operating environments in numerous devices, apps, broadcast networks and cloud platforms,” said Curt Dowdy, Audible Magic’s Vice-President of Marketing. “This demo provides developers with hints about the potential of ACR as part of the INDE Media Pack. We believe INDE will empower Intel platform developers to produce an increasing array of amazing uses of our technology.”

“The Intel INDE Media Pack provides a complete suite of video and audio libraries to help developers maximize productivity and deliver compelling, rich media experiences with native performance,” said Jeff McVeigh, General Manager of Performance Client and Visual Computing Software Development Tools. “We are excited to be working with Audible Magic to provide developers with robust and accurate ACR technology to unleash innovative capabilities on Intel platforms.”

The Audible Magic ACR demo can be seen this week in Intel’s booth at Mobile World Congress, located in Hall 8.1 (a.k.a. “Hall App Planet”), Stand 81E41. Information about Audible Magic’s SDK included in the Intel INDE Media Pack for Android can be found at www.audiblemagic.com/inde.
