Bitcentral's FUEL Non-Stop Live Streaming Platform Exceends Expectations in Trial with Heartland Media, Leading to Group-Wide Implementation
11 local stations across the U.S. will begin monetizing live newscasts through FUEL
Newport Beach, CA(07 Jan 2020)
Bitcentral Inc., a well-known provider of efficient media workflows in the U.S. and Latin America, expands its reach across the nation as Atlanta-based Heartland Media, a local broadcast media company operating 11 local stations and digital media assets stations across the continental U.S., chooses the FUEL Non-Stop Live streaming platform to enhance its media operations.
Heartland Media trialed the Non-Stop Live platform at KEZI in Eugene, Oregon, as part of their efforts to effectively monetize live newscasts with an option that could seamlessly integrate with their current workflow. Through the trial, Heartland Media found the FUEL solution enhanced the viewer experience, leading to a substantial 12-times increase in the average session duration. Before yearend 2019 Heartland will implement FUEL and Non-Stop Live in each of the 11 markets, maximizing the quality of its viewership while maintaining a focus on generating greater digital advertising revenue.
“After a very successful market trial, we are excited to be partnering with Bitcentral to rollout the FUEL Non-Stop Live streaming solution into all our eleven markets,” said Lisa Bishop, Chief Digital Officer at Heartland Media. “Our entire team is impressed with the significant lift in viewing hours, session duration and increased ad inventory which will result in much higher monetization. FUEL will provide Heartland Media with the solution for us to create new digital revenue – and most importantly, give our viewers an engaging and very satisfying viewing experience.”
“We value our long-standing relationship with Heartland Media and are excited to expand our partnership by implementing FUEL in all of their markets,” said Fred Fourcher, Bitcentral founder and CEO. “Consistent with KEZI and with other customers’ experiences, we are confident FUEL will deliver a high-quality viewing experience, coupled with effective built-in dynamic ad insertion across all of Heartland’s digital platforms and importantly, provide an excellent experience for their staff – all resulting in the peace of mind Bitcentral promises our customers.”
