The awards were presented during the IBC Conference and Exhibition in Amsterdam.
The CSI Awards, now in their eighth year, are regarded as one of the most competitive and comprehensive technology awards, rewarding excellence in the cable, satellite, terrestrial broadcasting and IPTV sectors. Organized by CSI magazine (formerly known as Cable & Satellite International), the awards are judged independently of CSI by a panel of experts that includes practicing and former heads of engineering and operations from some of the world's most important network operators; well-respected consultants; and senior industry analysts.
Unveiled for the first time at IBC, new models of StreamZHD Live ABR featuring Digital Rapids' new Flux hardware platform were honored with a TV Technology Europe STAR (Superior Technology Award Recipient) Award. The STAR Award is designed to celebrate and showcase the preeminent technological innovations available to the broadcast industry. TV Technology Europe's editors and writers reviewed a variety of products, examined the technical applications and their overall contribution to the industry, and then chose the winners.
