E FUN to Turn On Its New NextBox Google TV Set-Top Box at 2012 CES

Allows Viewers to Enjoy Any of the Infinite Number of Videos, Apps, and Sites Found on the Web on the Same HDTVs They View Their Favorite Regular TV Channels

Las Vegas - CES 2012(09 Jan 2012)

E FUN, a consumer electronics designer and manufacturer of fun, easy-to-use lifestyle products, has chosen the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show to unveil its new NextBox Google TV set-top box. The unit provides users the opportunity to fully enjoy and take advantage of Google TV's capability to browse the Web, keep up with friends on social networking sites, watch YouTube videos, and visit limitless other Internet sites, plus watch all of their favorite TV channels all on one HDTV set.

The new NextBox Google TV set-top box, as well as the rest of the exciting E FUN product lineup, will be on display at 2012 CES in booth MP25463 located on the ground floor in building South 2.

"Fun and excitement, that is what Google TV is all about," remarked Jason Liszewski, managing director and vice president of sales for E FUN. "And so are we. We are delighted to be a part of this terrific new way for consumers to enjoy, in one place, on one set, and with no need for multiple screens, both the Web world and any of the hundreds of regular TV channels they normally watch."

The E FUN NextBox is designed with RK2908 1GHz and Cortex A8 dual processors, DDR3 512mb video card, Android 2.3 operating system, USB 2 host, LAN RJ45, and easy-connect Wi-Fi 802.11. It comes with a remote control, and E FUN's Kobo eBook Store application and SlideME Application Manager. Third-party apps also are available.

Setup of the E FUN NextBox only requires an HDTV set with an HDMI port and high-speed Internet access via either Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.

"E FUN is fully committed to Google TV," added Liszewski. "Combining the two most prevalent audio/video medias in an easy-to-use, exciting platform has been greatly anticipated for a long time. We expect Google TV to be around for many years to come and we expect to be a part of the show for equally as long."

The E FUN NextBox set-top box for Google TV lets users go right to their favorite show, channel, sports team, website, or app. There are no monthly fees. The system supports many of the most popular media formats for videos, audio, and still images. It also allows users to view their own videos and images in full detail on their HDTV.

The E FUN NextBox set-top box for Google TV will be available in Spring 2012. It will have an MSRP of $99.
