Engage Sports Media Selects thePlatform as Centralized Cloud-based Video Publishing System

thePlatform, the leading white-label video publishing company and independent subsidiary of Comcast, today announced that it has been selected to provide the back-end video management system for Engage Sports Media, a leader in the digital sports marketplace based in the UK.  

Under today’s agreement, Engage will use thePlatform’s cloud-based video management system, mpx, to manage and distribute online content for its high-profile football, rugby and cricket clients. These include the International Rugby Board (IRB), the governing body for Rugby Union, as well as the Indian Premier League (IPL) teams the Rajasthan Royals and 2012 Champions the Kolkata Knight Riders

In addition, mpx provides customers with a simple Web-based console for managing their video libraries, highly customizable video players with integrated social networking tools, a robust video commerce system, enterprise-grade reliability, and the ability to publish video easily across PCs, smartphones, tablets, game consoles, and more.
