Fubo Premier Opens Baseball Season as Top Streaming TV Bundle for Live Sports

New Version of virtual MVPD Launches out of Beta on Desktop and Mobile Web

NEW YORK(10 Apr 2017)

FuboTV (fubo.tv) has today officially launched the new version of its sports-first streaming pay TV service for desktop and mobile web. The 50-channel "Fubo Premier" bundle, which has been available in Beta since early February, is being offered at a discounted introductory rate of $34.99 per month. It features 26 channels that carry sports – more than any competitor's entry-level package – including local team coverage through regional sports networks (RSNs) from FOX Networks Group and NBCUniversal.

With Fubo Premier, subscribers in the U.S. can watch live events from all major sports leagues and tournaments. This includes more Major League Baseball than comparable bundles from any other over-the-top (OTT) virtual MVPD, with nearly two thirds of all games and teams available.

Additionally, Fubo Premier subscribers can also watch some of the most popular entertainment and news content. A list of channels and add-on options, as well as details on the “Fubo Latino” and “Fubo Português” packages – all available with no long-term contract and for a free seven-day trial – is available atfubo.tv/welcome/channels, and a full list of channels, broken down by the sports they carry, can be seen on this chart

Fubo initially launched in January 2015, and quickly became the leading streaming destination for soccer.  The launch of Fubo Premier builds on that reputation by adding even more channels that carry the best soccer from around the globe – while extending the company’s network partnerships to include those that carry every other major league … from the world’s most popular sport to America’s national pastime.

Subscribers using Fubo via desktop or mobile web at fubo.tv have access to cloud-based DVR, VOD and two concurrent streams, with additional features being added weekly.

Fubo will continue to be available on platforms still in Beta – Android and iOS mobile apps; Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick; Apple TV; Chromecast; Kindle Fire; Roku – as additional updates are made and new features added supporting these devices.

Meanwhile, FuboTV has invested significant resources into its tech infrastructure to ensure that live sports and other programming is delivered to viewers as part of an optimal experience.  This includes FuboTV having the industry's fastest load time and shortest latency to live video on desktop – bringing game-winning home runs and momentum-changing hits, stolen bases or diving catches to fans often as much as 45 seconds ahead of other providers.

FuboTV Also recently became the first in the industry to fully implement the SCTE 224 standard, allowing its broadcast partners to precisely communicate blackouts and alternate streams of content, and has built a sophisticated video monitoring infrastructure able to automatically detect and fix streaming issues.
