Cologne, Germany(08 Sep 2016)
Make.TV, the industry leading live mobile video acquisition and management solution, today announced the commercial availability of its Live Video Cloud platform, which enables broadcasters to acquire, manage and publish video content submitted by content professionals and amateurs. Make.TV will showcase its Live Video Cloud platform at stand 7.J14, at the International Broadcast Conference (IBC) 2016 in the RAI Center, Amsterdam, September 9-13.
Leading content producers including LinkedIn, Perform, RTL2, and the Swiss Broadcasting Corp (SRF) are among the early adopters of Make.TV. Additionally, FOX Sports Brasil has been the first company to use Make.TV’s Live Video Cloud platform in South America during the recent Olympics 2016 in Rio.
FOX Sports was able to offer multiple live videos from various angles, locations and perspectives. The live broadcast was available on FOX Sports Brasil’s YouTube channel with a multi-angle player, allowing viewers to switch between the different feeds. It was also made available on its Facebook page. Make.TV feeds acquired outside of the stadiums and via remote interviewers were pushed to FOX Sports’ Live Control Room for broadcast on FOX Sports Brasil TV channel and the FOX Sports Brasil website.
“At the recent Olympics 2016 in Rio we worked closely with Make.TV, and together we were able to drive consumer reach for live video via social platforms like we have never done before. We also delivered exciting and exclusive content to everyone on broadcast and 24/7 channels, with a strong multiplatform publishing synergy”, said Luis Santos, Broadcasting VP, FOX Network Group, “We look forward to a strong and excellent working relationship between FOX Sports and Make.TV”.
“With Make.TV Live Video Cloud, producers can acquire both user-generated and premium content, then search, discover, select and curate the best feeds from unlimited live and near-live video sources”, said Andreas Jacobi CEO of Make.TV. “Producers can monitor incoming live feeds and communicate with their contributors via intercom or chat, and then route and monetize streams to their audiences through broadcast, social or OTT.”
Customers can integrate Make.TV Live Video Cloud within their existing broadcast environments or use it as a standalone SaaS solution. The following console modules will be showcased at IBC:
- Acquire: Acquire and manage live streams or upload videos for delivery, and communicate directly with live program contributors via chat or intercom
