MediaPlatform, Inc., the enterprise video software company, today announced two new features designed to enhance its cloud-based webcasting software to meet increasing demand worldwide. With support for UTF-8, MediaPlatform's WebCaster can include text in any language. Incorporating Adobe Stage Video feature into Webcaster video player enables audience members to improve their playback quality while reducing processor usage by up to 85 percent.

UTF-8 is a universal character set transformation format, a multibyte character encoding for Unicode that can represent every character in the Unicode character set. With support for UTF-8, MediaPlatform enables all languages so users worldwide can view the webcast text in their native language. For example, if the enterprise or producer is webcasting a training seminar to Japan, the text and bios can all be in Japanese.
