Newsmax Media Opens TV Studio in New York
New Facility to Produce Key Content for Newsmax.TV
New York, NY(06 Jul 2012)
Newsmax Media has opened a new, state-of-the-art television studio at its New York bureau, as the multi-platform news publisher steps up its production of video content.
The facility is equipped with three cameras and a full anchor set up that comfortably accommodates up to four guests. In addition, a remote-controlled Ready Cam can beam live interviews to broadcasters in the U.S. and overseas.
Interview guests have already included Steve Forbes, Donald Rumsfeld, former NY Governor George Pataki, and famed attorney Alan Dershowitz.
The 460 square foot studio, located in Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan, also has a green screen plus three large, high-definition monitors that can display any image or scene behind an interview subject.
Newsmax publishes four highly-rated web sites covering news, money, health and global intelligence.
Each broadcasts exclusive video interviews with key newsmakers and opinion leaders.
Its flagship site, Newsmax.com, averages 8 million unique visitors a month. Newsmax reaches an estimated three million additional readers through email alerts and its award-winning monthly magazine.
"Video content is becoming increasingly important to Newsmax,” said Ken Chandler, who heads Newsmax’s New York bureau, “and this new studio will complement our existing facility in West Palm Beach, Fl., and give us the tools we need to satisfy demand across all our platforms.
"When a guest appears on Newsmax TV, he or she can be reaching an audience of almost 11 million. It is a very powerful platform.”
Chandler said Newsmax plans to make the new studio available on a limited basis for rental by businesses and organizations in the area.
