OTT Video Platform VHX Launches App Integration with Shopify Enabling Sellers to Distribute Digital Videos Along with Physical Goods

BROOKLYN, N.Y.(02 Feb 2016)

OTT video distribution startup VHX (https://www.vhx.tv/) has partnered with ecommerce platform Shopify to release an app that enables its users to sell digital video content directly to their customers from their Shopify storefronts. The new integration is a valuable sales tool for Shopify sellers, as it allows them to easily sell digital videos as a standalone product or bundle it with physical merchandise, such as CDs/DVDs, which can be sold and delivered directly to their customers' inboxes.

To begin selling digital video from a Shopify storefront, a user would simply install the VHX Shopify app (https://apps.shopify.com/vhx-shopify) into their Shopify dashboard. The seller can then connect their existing VHX account (or create a new one) and easily begin selling digital videos directly from their Shopify store.

Current sellers using the VHX Shopify app include YouTube yogi sensation Yoga With Adriene and punk music documentary Filmage: The Story of Descendents/ALL, who in the past, were limited to selling physical copies of their videos on Shopify.

"This new integration makes it easy to sell digital videos from Shopify storefronts, as well as bundling physical goods with digital goods on VHX stores. We're here to help people build successful businesses online and this takes us another step in that direction," said Jamie Wilkinson, VHX co-founder & CEO.

After purchasing a digital video product, customers receive a copy in their email inbox and have options to stream or download videos instantly. They can watch via various methods: on the web, mobile web on Airplay and Chromecast, or through the VHX apps on iOS, Android, and Roku.
