Panopto Announces Video Platform Migration Program for Kaltura Customers
Conversion tool and professional services enable Kaltura customers to switch to an integrated video platform with simple, predictable pricing and industry-leading customer support.
Seattle(19 May 2016)
In response to customer demand, Panopto today announced a video platformmigration program for Kaltura customers. As part of the announcement, Panopto is launching a Kaltura content conversion tool and professional services to assist customers with their transition.
In recent months, a growing number of Kaltura clients have approached Panopto with requests to migrate their video assets to a platform built for the specific needs of businesses and universities. To satisfy growing demand, Panopto has developed a migration tool that automates the conversion of Kaltura videos and automatically uploads the converted content to a new Panopto video library.
The conversion process maintains the fidelity of the original video, along with the video title, description, tags, categories, and captions. Once converted, recordings are indexed for search using Panopto’s unique Smart Search technology and encoded for optimal playback on any device. All converted videos are managed, edited, and streamed using Panopto’s industry-leading video content management system. Video content can also be integrated with customers’ existing learning management systems, web sites, and content management systems.
Professional Migration Services
As part of today’s announcement, Panopto is launching professional services to assist Kaltura customers with their transition to Panopto. The services include conversion of existing Kaltura video files, integrity validation of the converted files, and provisioning of existing Kaltura users within Panopto.
