PIVOTSHARE ANNOUNCES SELF-SERVICE EMBEDDABLE PAY-PER-VIEW VIDEO PLAYER
Media startup creates a solution allowing filmmakers to offer their films as rentals on their own website and begin selling direct to audience
COSTA MESA, Calif. - Today Pivotshare announced the public release of their new embeddable video player. All of the benefits that users of the Pivotshare platform have come to expect from their online media channels are also available in the embeddable version, allowing filmmakers to sell directly to their audience from their own website. On top of being completely self-service, with no starting fees or monthly costs, there is another aspect to the platform that sets it apart from most other embeddable players on the marketplace. Customers can now experience a truly seamless payment experience.
The company explains that their embeddable player is a great leap forward in online film distribution since it offers everything a director needs to distribute their film online, wrapped up in a single product. Over the last few months the company has been visiting film festivals and working with filmmakers to help craft a solution that will provide them with a powerful platform to sell their films directly to their audience completely contained on their own site. “Now with Pivotshare’s embeddable player, filmmakers can drive their social media and advertising traffic to their own website and sell directly to their fans”, says Pivotshare founder, Adam Mosam. “Our embed player is another great feature that allows us to empower filmmakers, while continuing to offer the most generous revenue share on the market.”
Pivotshare also lets content providers upload their own custom movie trailers, allowing them to sell their creations in a much more theatrical environment. Pivotshare is unveiling their player with the premiere of the film, Sedona, written and directed by Tommy Stovall (http://www.sedonamovie.com/watch.html). The film tells the story of visitors to the mystical Southwestern town that encounter eccentric locals as well as a series of shake-ups that lead them to unexpected miracles. Speaking about the player, Stovall says, “Having tried all the media players out there, Pivotshare is by far my top choice when it comes to selling my film directly to my audience. It’s such a well-thought-out platform that’s beautifully designed, professional, and easy to use. Plus, I love the seamless payment experience it provides for my viewers.”
Several of the directors currently using the Pivotshare solution are in the process of embedding films on their promotional websites as well, streamlining the Video-On-Demand process even further. As with every aspect of Pivotshare, the embeddable player is easy to create and simple to implement in any existing film site.
