Poker Central Launches PokerGo, the Ultimate Live Poker Subscription Service
Biggest Poker Events and Hundreds of Hours of On-Demand Original Programming
Las Vegas, NV(22 May 2017)
Poker Central launched PokerGo, a poker subscription service that will feature many of poker’s biggest live events – such as the Super High Roller Bowl and the World Series of Poker (WSOP), both kicking off this summer – and on-demand original programming throughout the year. The service is available via a $99 annual subscription or a $10 monthly pass, and can be accessed through www.PokerGo.com.
PokerGo will serve as the preeminent destination for poker enthusiasts, showcasing the biggest tournaments and high stakes cash games in the world, with multiple events premiering every month. Along with the $300,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl, extensive WSOP coverage will include the untelevised hours of the Main Event, the $111,111 buy-in High Roller for One Drop, and more than a dozen other bracelet events throughout the summer. PokerGo's live poker offering will continue to expand with weekly high stakes cash games later this summer and additional premier poker events to be announced. All PokerGo live events will be produced by their exclusive production partner, Poker Productions.
PokerGo original programming to include:
- “Dead Money: A Super High Roller Bowl Story” – A compelling documentary mini-series profiling the underdog story of 2016 Super High Roller Bowl final tablist, Matt Berkey.
- “Pokerography” – An in-depth series looking into the lives of some of the greatest poker professionals to ever play the game. Each episode will feature detailed interviews from poker’s greatest champions as they reveal their fascinating backstories while interviews with family, friends, rivals, and expert analysts dig deep into their legacies.
- Classic programming including “Poker After Dark,” “Face the Ace,” “Doubles Poker Championship,” and more.
- Additional original programming to be announced.
“Poker has continually evolved over the years as a thrilling, competitive live sport with millions of fans across the world yearning to watch more and more of the action,” said Mori Eskandani, founder, Poker Productions. “PokerGo's planned combination of unprecedented live event coverage and premium original programming will make it the ideal service to entertain the poker world with every aspect of the game.”
Recently, Poker Central announced multiple rights acquisition and television distribution deals surrounding their premier live events. These agreements bolster Poker Central’s strong poker presence on linear television and will complement its PokerGo digital offering.
“PokerGo will offer the best live and on-demand poker tournaments and content for the fiercely passionate poker fan and casual enthusiast alike - whenever and wherever they want them,” said JR McCabe, chief digital officer of Poker Central. “By pairing PokerGo with our existing network television partnerships, we will offer unique and original programming to the largest potential global audience.”
PokerGo is emblematic of the growing trend in live sports to create subscription products that offer passionate audiences extensive access to live events and original programming. As such, Poker Central’s PokerGo product will deliver a dedicated SVOD service that will be the first of its kind available to poker’s enthusiast audience.
